​Hi there! I’m Tasneem, the person behind everything you see here at Patatas Crafts. I'm so happy you found my site and took some time to have a look around!
 

My journey with polymer clay started about ten years ago right here in beautiful Mauritius. At first, it wasn't anything serious, just pure, unfiltered fun experimenting and trying out different crafts. But out of everything I tried, polymer clay is the one that truly stuck with me.

People often wonder about the story behind Patatas Crafts, and it’s actually a fun little wordplay on my own life: a mix of PÂTE (for polymer clay) and TAS (from Tasneem). The name is admittedly a bit silly, but it stuck and somehow perfectly represents the joy and lightheartedness I find in making things.

​What I love most about clay is its incredible versatility. The possibilities are absolutely endless! Even after a decade of working with it, I find myself constantly learning new techniques, and finding new ways to bring tiny details to life.
